Biodiesel is defined as a renewable, biodegradable, mono alkyl ester combustible liquid fuel that is derived
from agricultural plant oils or animal fats and meets current ASTM biodiesel standards.
| Biodiesel |
A renewable alternative fuel produced from a wide range of vegetable oil and animal fats. |
| Electric |
Used to power all electric vehicles and plug in hybrid electric vehicels directly from the power grid. |
| Hydrogen |
Can be produced form fossil fuels and biomass and even by electrolyzing water. |
| Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) |
LNG is natural gas. . LNG fuel systems typically are only used with heavy-duty vehicles. |
| Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) |
CNG must be stored onboard a vehicle in tanks at high pressure. CNG-powered vehicle typically gets about the same fuel economy as a conventional gasoline vehicle. |
| Propane (LPG) |
Propane also called liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), is a domestically abundant fossil fuel that gernerates less harmful air polluntants and greenhouse gases. |
